JOB TITLE:                                    Community Engagement Coordinator CLTFCDEPARTMENT:                            Community EngagementREPORTING RELATIONSHIP:   Reports to the Director of Community RelationsSTATUS:                                         Full-Time (Exempt) About Charlotte FCCharlotte FC is Major League Soccer�s 30th franchise and played its inaugural season in Major League Soccer in 2022. The club set a MLS attendance record in its opening game with over 74,000 spectators in Bank of America Stadium and has been at the top of MLS in attendance throughout its first two seasons. Charlotte FC is part of Tepper Sports & Entertainment, which also includes the Carolina Panthers and Bank of America Stadium Position SummaryThis position supports all community outreach programs and Camps/Clinics initiatives and plans and executes logistics for CLTFC Community Engagement initiatives.   Primary Responsibilities 
  • Support community outreach programs including, but not limited to:
    • Soccer Honors Showcase and Award Ceremony
    • Military Outreach Programs
    • Staff Volunteer Opportunities
    • Captains Academy (High School Leadership)
    • School Year Kick-off event
    • Unified Teams around the Carolinas
  • Greater Goals:
    • Coach 2-3 Greater Goals sessions a week.
    • Oversee recruitment, hiring, training, and evaluation of coaches.
    • Assist with coach communication around scheduling and cancelations.
  • Camps and Clinics:
    • Act as representative at events (camps, clinics, etc.) to assist with setup, check-in, event execution, and breakdown. This includes events locally in Charlotte as well as the surrounding areas (Events planned in Charleston, Columbia, etc.)
    • Oversee recruitment, hiring, training, and evaluation of Coaches. Includes volunteers and other staffing at events.
    • Help coordinate events from idea creation to execution.
      • Creating registration pages
      • Handling communication with families
      • Creating marketing plans and working with appropriate departments
  • Game Day responsibilities:
    • Coordinate and supervise ball kids. 
    • Military ticket distribution 
    • Parking credentials (dept. and dept.�s game-day guests) 
    • Game-day food orders for Community suites 
    • Distribution of tickets (departmental program guests) 
  • All other duties as assigned.
 Minimum Qualifications
  • At least a bachelor�s degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of Community Relations/Outreach or relevant experience.
  • Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Highly organized and motivated.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented and must be able to multi-task while managing time successfully. 
  • Be creative with resources.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must get along with a variety of personalities.
  • Must be comfortably speaking/interacting in front of large groups.
  • Must be flexible to work evenings and/or weekends and all Carolina Panthers and Stadium events, including events held on weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Must pass pre-employment screens.
  • Must be able to handle confidential, privileged, and/or sensitive information with carefully and with sensitivity.
 Essential Functions
  • Standing for extended periods of time.
  • Sitting and working at desk on a computer.
  • Walking throughout the stadium.
  • Lift at least 30 pounds.
 Work Environment
  • This job operates mostly in an office environment and outside in a stadium facility at times which may include inclement weather conditions.
